Darjeeling - Queen of the Himalayas
Just like the name Champagne is reserved for sparkling wine from the Champagne region and Cognac is reserved for brandy from the Cognac region, the same applies to Darjeeling - it is legally only reserved for tea that comes from the 87 tea gardens in the Darjeeling region in Northern India.
On 17,500 hectares each year about 10,000 tonnes of the world's most renowned tea is produced.
All Tea Campaign products are made from FTGFOP1 (Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) tea leaves - the highest possible grade for whole leaf tea.
